When to go

May, June, September, October, December

Frank Sinatra sang about a “foggy day in London town,” and I have to be honest– the weather isn’t a draw for visiting the UK. Thankfully, spring and fall still have their fair share of nice days, so you can explore while avoiding the summertime crowds. Christmastime is magical in London, but for the most epic New Year’s Eve celebration in the world, plan to be in Scotland for Hogmanay!

What to Expect

The United Kingdom is an island nation made up of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales– and it’s so much more than the stereotypical scones, royalty, and obsession with tea (although that’s not wrong). I love setting up base in London for day trips around England to the Cotswolds, BristolWindsor, and Richmond. There are so many quaint villages to visit and so little time! Outside England, visit the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, taste whisky in Scotland, and visit Snowdonia National Park in Wales!
