Amsterdam Calling – Red Light District Secrets

Living in Amsterdam was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. It flipped my world upside-down, made me start anew, and gave me the opportunity to meet amazing people. Some of those people made this next video possible and I loved being part of it!

Amsterdam Calling is a video webseries that takes you around Amsterdam (and beyond!) to share how the locals explore this awesome city. I was invited once before to be in the video about the taste adventure that is the World of Food with Gessell, the regular host.

But in this video, I meet up with one of my friends and Yelp District Manager, Philippine Wouters so that she can show me around her neighborhood–the Red Light District.

Yes, people live and work there…and most don’t work in windows spotlighted by a red light. So, in this episode of Amsterdam Calling, we discover the hidden gems, everyday wonderful places, and local hotspots of the Red Light District.

All links to the wonderful places we visited are on the YouTube page, so be sure to click through for those…and to subscribe and like the video!

We still love to do our own videos, but sometimes it’s fun to branch out and do something new! I hope you enjoyed the video and please let me know where your favorite spot was or your favorite part. Does it seem like Philippine and I had fun in the video? We definitely did…and I thoroughly enjoyed that cocktail at the end!
